We just returned from Dorado Beach. This high-style vacation, with all the bells and whistles recharged our batteries. From the our private roof top plunge pool, to our dramatic 18 feet high shutters our room was an oasis of calm and luxury.
The restaurants all looked amazing, and when we stayed at the Ritz last year we tried them all, but this year we ate at Positivo, which turns into a sushi bar at night (though you can always order from the other restaurants if you want, as Bob did when he wanted a cheeseburger).

Emily’s Recommendations:
Get the Mojito, but order it with Splenda, yummy!
Ride your personal beach cruiser on the 6 mile loop around the land preserve. Find your way to this special house, which once hosted glitterati and dignitaries — including a favorite HBLBers, Amelia Earhart.
Start your day with a free outdoor yoga class and end with a treehouse massage!
And if all that didn’t make you want to visit, check out this amazing bathroom, equipped with a peaceful outdoor shower! I’m a sucker for all kinds of water elements. The Ritz has incorporated water everywhere, from the lily pad pool greeting you upon arrival to the water that flows around the reception desk, it’s everywhere.
