Harry Potter continues!

Break out the Butterbeer and Bertie Bott’s Every Flavored Beans! To celebrate 18 years of Harry Potter in our world (I feel old…), author J.K. Rowling has announced the creation of a Harry Potter stage production called “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” The play is a collaboration with “Skins” writer Jack Thorne and “Once” director John Tiffany.

Rowling’s announcement comes on the heels of a whole slew of new Potter fodder. On Wednesday, the author released a deep dive on the Dursley family, and at the beginning of this month, Eddie Redmayne officially signed on to play the lead in the prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is slated for a 2016 release.”

We are super excited for this development in the Harry Potter world! Seven books, eight movies, a whole theme park and website simply just isn’t enough for die-hard Potter fans.

“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, while not a prequel, will reportedly offer more background on the lives of Harry’s parents, Lily and James Potter. Get your Nimbus 2000 ready: Tickets will go on sale this fall.”
